Tara

“Tara” in Nepali means “star” and this young girl definitely shines with a strong desire to make it big someday even after having gone through a difficult childhood. She lost her father when she was only a year old and her family, labeling her ‘ill-fated for the family’, blamed her for his death. This led her and her widowed mother to be abandoned by her family.

With support from her maternal uncle, she managed to continue her education and pass her SLC Examinations from Ketu English Secondary School securing 68.8%. Tara has keen interest in Management and is now a step closer to her aim of opening an organization to help the poor and needy.

She lost her home in the April 25 earthquake.
