Ruth first became involved with the charity in 2007 when she was a volunteer in Moshi, Tanzania, working with our local team on the HIV grants and loan programme and rolling out a round of funding. She was an ambassador in 2010, visiting all the Tanzania projects and writing an impact report on her return.
Ruth has been particularly involved in our India programmes since becoming a trustee seven years ago, developing our Quality Education plan. She has visited India twice recently, to deliver training to headteachers and to support the country manager with our volunteer programme.
Ruth is based in Hampshire and is a primary school headteacher.
“After seeing the power of Mondo in transforming the lives of women in such a tangible way, I was keen to become a more integral part of the Mondo family, knowing my time, efforts and money go directly to the people we are helping, with sustainable and dramatic impact.”
